Job Description:
We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused, and proactive Security & Front Desk Associate to join our extended stay hotel team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, cleanliness, and overall positive guest experience at our property—especially during overnight hours.
As a Security/Front Desk Associate, you will maintain designated interior and exterior areas of the property, assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and key replacements, respond to after-hours guest needs, and help resolve issues promptly while ensuring the safety of all guests, team members, and property. You will also assist with light maintenance and porter duties to keep the property welcoming and presentable.
Key Responsibilities: (Include but are not limited to)
- Monitor and patrol hotel premises during night shift, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
- Greet and assist guests with professionalism and urgency, including handling late check-ins, early check-outs, and replacing lost or missing room keys.
- Respond promptly to guest concerns, security issues, and emergencies according to company policies and safety protocols.
- Control access to the property, ensuring all visitors have a legitimate reason for being on-site.
- Observe, document, and report unusual or suspicious activities; follow security checklist procedures.
- Perform porter duties, including keeping common areas clean, removing trash and debris, and tagging inoperable or unauthorized vehicles.
- Assist the Manager or Maintenance team with service orders and other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to work night shift, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous hospitality, security, or customer service experience preferred—hotel experience is a plus.
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and the ability to serve as an ambassador for the company.
- Strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods (8+ hours) and lift up to 75 lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
