Maintenance Technician Weeklies

We currently own and operate over 85 apartment communities in the Pacific Northwest and Southwestern United States with other markets under consideration.
We are looking for a talented Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated Weeklies Team! The Maintenance Technician maintains the physical condition of community and equipment according to company guidelines and standards, and protecting from damage, loss, and deterioration. This position conducts preventative maintenance, emergency support, regular inspections, service requests, and cosmetic care. Nature of work requires emphasis on safe work practices, sustained physical effort, trouble shooting, problem solving, attention to detail, customer service and time management.
Essential Functions: Include but are not limited to-
- Service Requests: You will ensure service requests are completed professionally and accurately within twenty-four (24) hours, which may include scheduling an appropriate vendor if necessary.
- Preventive Maintenance: You will update, execute, and document preventive maintenance schedule on a regular basis and advise your manager of outstanding items.
- Property Inspections and Maintenance: You will perform property inspections to ensure compliance with established standards regarding safety, cleanliness, general appearance, and landscaping.
- Guest Relations: As a “front line” employee who interacts regularly with our guests, you will work to establish and maintain good relations with guests, prospective guests, vendors, and coworkers. You will use your communication skills to always interact in a courteous and professional manner.
- Occupancy Management: You and your team will ensure our weeklies properties are ready for occupancy by overseeing and scheduling all facets of the make-ready process in accordance with leasing needs. This includes but is not limited to move out/move in inspections, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, carpet cleaning/replacement, painting, equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, and cleaning.
- Weeklies Environment: You are comfortable working in a weeklies environment that can be challenging demographically and would require consistent cautionary approach to your own safety and the safety of others.
- Maintain Commitment to Safety: You will maintain life safety equipment including but not limited to fire pumps, sprinklers, emergency generators, fire panels, smoke detectors, CO detectors, etc., including testing equipment as required. You will maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. You will utilize all reasonable safety measures and precautions.
- Overall: You’ll be an excellent teammate who helps deliver your community goals.
Qualifications: include but not limited to-
- You’ve “been there, done that”. A minimum of one (1) year of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall repairs, carpentry, or pool maintenance experience required.
- You have some credentials. High School Diploma or equivalent.
- You’re a great communicator. You easily manage relationships and build rapport with others, never losing sight of the criticality of customer service.
- You’re a fixer. You demonstrate tact and empathy when dealing with Resident concerns, you work to resolve them quickly.
- You meet the physical requirements of the job. Walking and standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs/ladders, kneeling, bending, moving/lifting items (up to 75 lbs.)
- You're on the move. Occasional travel to pick up supply or to provide maintenance support to other locations maybe needed. Must have valid License's Driver and insurance.
